Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and the trailer for the same was released on 2nd October. The teaser was applauded by many people and has left viewers stunned with its grand scale. Kangana Ranaut is being praised for her amazing performance as she has managed to impress people with her role as Rani Laxmibai.
The film is directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamundi, it is based on the story of the first war of independence waged by the queen against the British East India Company in 1857. Kangana has also directed some sequences of the film and she looks beautiful in the royal Maratha avatar.

Kangana had suffered some serious injuries while shooting a sword-fighting scene for the film. The actress got 15 stitches and a deep gash that the actor wanted to keep as a bravery mark.
The film is going to release on January 25, 2019, and it also marks the debut of famous TV actress Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkarbai in Manikarnika. The movie also stars Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, and Jisshu Sengupta.
