Malala Yousafzai Graces The Vogue Cover, People say ‘Times Are Changing’: 

Vogue is a famous fashion and lifestyle magazine. In all these years it was impossible to believe that one day, educators, activists, and Nobel laureates would grace the cover of Vogue, replacing models and actors. But it seems like the world is changing and the power of representation is increasing. 

Former Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja was featured on the cover of Vogue. And now, Malala Yousafzai has been featured on the Vogue cover for its July’21 edition! Isn’t it shocking and amazing? 

As per reports, the 23-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner gave an extensive interview to British Vogue where she opened up about life after graduating from Oxford University.

When asked about why she is wearing a headscarf on the cover, she said:

“Muslim girls or Pashtun girls or Pakistani girls, when we follow our traditional dress, we’re considered to be oppressed, or voiceless, or living under patriarchy. I want to tell everyone that you can have your own voice within your culture, and you can have equality in your culture.”
