Indian automobile enthusiasts must be filled with joy when Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that the American electric vehicle, Tesla, would soon start operations in India. This came in after its CEO Elon Musk has been postponing its arrival with desis believing, ‘agley saal pakka’. Well, the good news is that Tesla has finally made it to India.
As per sources, it registered a company named Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Limited to an address in Lavelle Road, Bengaluru.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa confirmed that Tesla is setting up its research and development (R&D) center in Bengaluru in his now-deleted tweet.
