Though same-sex relationships are termed legal by Indian law, same-sex marriages are still recognized as illegal. However, several same-sex couples have put a ring on their relationship and got into matrimony in their unique way. To help the LGBTQ+ community find their perfect match, matchmaking company Shaadi.com might soon open up its services for them. Yes! 

Recently in an interview, the company’s founder and chief executive Anupam Mittal hinted that they’re looking at entering the matchmaking arena for the LGBTQ+ community and people living abroad.

“We see ourselves as a platform for companionship and matchmaking…That could mean for different markets, different regions, different countries, different sexes. We don’t have a problem with that. But we will significantly expand the kind of things that we do from a matchmaking context,” Mittal said.
