Check out how twitterati trolled Dhadak trailer:
On Monday, Karan Johar launched the trailer of his much-anticipated film; Dhadak and twitter gave mixed reactions. Dhadak which is introducing Jhanvi Kapoor daughter of Late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor and Ishan Kahtter, is a Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat.
At the trailer launch of Dhadak, Karan Johar described his film as Sairat’s adaptation and said: “When you adapt a film from a brilliant source material, you always know that no matter what you do and try, there will be comparisons. But all you can do is pay homage to that film.”
While many people applauded the excellent chemistry between the debutant actors Ishan and Jhanvi and the trailer set high expectations for the movie, whereas, others felt that the movie fails to match the level of Sairat. In no time Twitter was full of memes and jokes trolling the trailer of the movie.

Regional cinema is soulful, it captures the dialect & earthen humor so well. A Bollywood remake is almost a parody by ham actors and a khichdi of local dialect and Hindi. #Sairat vs #Dhadak is #Reebok vs #Reebook

In Dhadak, the story has been modified to Rajasthan and the dialogues have been adapted in theregional Rajasthani language. Moreover, while the lovers in Sairat were portrayed as victims of caste violence, in Dhadak it seems to revolve around class and economic status.
