Last month Netflix released “Bird Box” and the streaming platform is now appealing its viewers not to take up the challenge related to the movie. In the challenge people are putting blindfolds on themselves. Bird Box is a post-apocalyptic psychological thriller directed by Susanne Bier.
In the film, Sandra Bullock plays the role of a mom who wears a blindfold to avoid seeing mysterious forces that cause people to commit suicide, as she tries to save her children by leading them through dangerous terrain.
The fans inspired by the film started taking up #BirdBoxchallenge performing every task with blindfolds. Some even took it too far that they end up running close to traffic and more.

After the challenge went viral Netflix issued a warning to its viewers, saying: “Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.”
What is Bird Box?
Bird Box depicts a post-apocalyptic world where all human beings have to wear blindfolds to avoid a force that possesses people and make them kill themselves if eye contact happens. The people in the movie are forced to rely on their other senses to move through the world
