Created by filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Ragti, it is a fantastic show. It captures big fat Indian weddings and everything that goes behind it. It is a mixture of comprises, hypocrisies, double standards and struggles. The series also shut several stereotypes as well. Check out the reasons why you need to binge-watch this series right now:

Repost from @officialhumansofbombay using @repostregramapp – “By the age of 10, I knew I wanted to be an actor. I’d visited a few film sets with my dad & I remember being enamored by it all. It was then that I knew–this is what I was going to do. I was 18 when I told my dad about my dreams. At first, he thought I was crazy; he wasn’t as starstruck as I was & was aware of the struggles. But I wanted to prove him wrong. So I moved to Bombay & started working as an AD to see how the cogs turned. 5 years later, it was time to make my move to acting. I enrolled in an acting course, joined a gym & began auditioning. One of my earliest auditions was with Mira Nair & it was the first time I faced the camera. I knew I was on the right track. My first feature film was Luck By Chance–that’s when my struggle began. For a while, work was scarce. Not because I wasn’t offered anything, but because I was typecast as the ‘Best Friend’. This had nothing to with talent but rather with the industry. I chose to wait for the right roles. At the time, huge films slipped out of my hands & went to a star-kid at the last minute. I was once told, ‘We can’t cast you because you’re better than the hero & we can’t have him share his limelight’ & that ‘You have everything it takes to be the lead, but the market won’t let us cast you.’ It was the harshest reality–knowing I was made for the job, with no surname to support me. Still, I believed in myself. I worked in smaller films. Honestly, I can’t count the number of rejections I faced. But this was Bollywood & this was how it worked. I’d chosen it for myself, so I had to embrace it. Every day is a new challenge–but I can’t afford to be disheartened, I remain patient & believe in my talent. After all this time, I have this show which showcases me correctly. I am certain that more doors will open, but until then–I’m ready to accept rejection as part & parcel of my passion. I’m going to keep working, hustling & dreaming until the day the ones that doubted me are proven wrong.” — HoB with Amazon Prime Video India brings to you the real stories of people which showcases the good, the bad & the ugly – all that is a part of the chaos of life, thr
Zoya Akhtar and Reema katgi explored the homosexual angle in a sensitive manner. Karan’s sexual orientation is much normalized, in fact, the characters also played it well, and he performed with grace and emotions. His love life is one of the most sensitive and genuine portrayals of a gay character you will witness on the Indian screen.
