Today is Maha Shivratri which also known as Sivaratri, Shivaratri, Sivarathri, and Shivaratr, This festival which celebrates the convergence of Shiva and Shakti and is considered a big one in Hindus.
My sister is a store house of messages whatever the occasion is she has many messages for the same. But yesterday when I asked her send me few Shivratri messages she instantly replied, “who sends messages on Shivratri?”.
After hearing this I was quite upset to know that spiritual and festival messages are losing its importance with each passing day. We all exchange messages for Valentine’s day, Diwali , Holi, New Year, Christmas but not on days of religious importance.
