Things to Learn from COVID-19’s Pandemic

COVID-19 pandemic has entirely turned everyone’s life upside down, affecting the way people live and behave. With various impacts on different aspects, everything is brought to a stop and life is still running with a hope of getting back to old normal. Pre-covid situations, we as humans took everything for granted but this pandemic has made us the real meaning of luxury and important life lessons. So let’s read how pandemic has changed our perspective on few things.

United World: The different countries of the world haven’t been united together ever before the outbreak of novel coronavirus. The pandemic has brought the world closer voiding the gap between the rival countries with a feeling of humanity. Considering humanity above all, different countries joined hands and helped each other in different ways such as financial support, medical equipment, etc. Despite the distance between different countries, every country is battling with the same virus and becoming united at many scales and levels.

Human’s Existence: The pandemic has made us realize the importance of human beings. Home isolation and social distancing norms have resulted in loneliness and depression among people. Being homebound, people crave to see and meet their loved ones and realize the actual meaning of human contact and social interaction.

Life Uncertainty: With the adaptations in the evolving situation, most of the people became unemployed and had been forced to find other ways to run their livelihood. Organizations started working from home, teachers became online tutors, doctors started giving telemedicine and there happened several evolutions which have become a testament for human survival. Hence, this has given a lesson that humans are adaptive and life is flexible in the period of uncertainty.

Humanity First: Irrespective of religion, caste, color, creed, and gender, humans are aiding humans with a feeling of humanity. The pandemic has ensured that humanity is the biggest religion and is everything over other things. This has been observed by the entire human breed where different individuals are contributing to society in different ways such as free food service, free oxygen and medicine services, feeding strays, volunteering in bringing the daily essentials, plasma and blood donations, etc. Such acts of appreciation and kindness towards humanity have helped and supported people to fight and survive in the pandemic.

Self-Love & Care: In the tough time, you are alive, you have family, food on the table, breathing normally, and haven’t lost your job then, you are the richest person. Age is just a number and life is precious. The biggest lesson we have learned from the pandemic is to thank God for being safe and alive. This is because many people are either dying or are losing their family members. Most of the losses can be recovered but the loss of life is irreparable so be grateful for what you have and find happiness and reasons to smile. Love yourself and your family each passing day because family is the one which stands and supports till last.

For everyone self-love, self-care, mental health, and family have become the priority and especially for those who were busy in the race of wealth.
