Check out the things you must do in order to avoid heat stroke:

Summers, the season of deadly heat and rising temperatures are here again. You can’t just avoid going out and have to face this scorching heat. One of the main issues that people face this season is heat stroke. A heat stroke occurs when the body’s water and salt supplies reduce. A heat stroke can cause an upset stomach, vomiting, excessive headache, and fever. In summer most people suffer from heat stroke. As it is said prevention is better than cure, here are some easy and must-do things to avoid sunstroke:

  • Keep onion in your pocket

This sounds bizarre and weird but it is really useful. When onions are kept in the pocket, they absorb the body heat and manage the body temperature which prevents you from scorching heat and hot winds during summers.

  • Drink aam paana

This amazing drink is an important part of the summer and offers many health benefits as well. The mixture of spices in this drink is good for the digestive system. This drink prevents loss of iron and sodium chloride during excessive sweating. Always have a glass of aam panna before going out of the house.

  • Stay hydrated

To stay fit during summer, you have to stay hydrated. Drink at least about two liters of liquids per day. Water, juices, coconut water or lemonade drink all this. Summers can make you dehydrated which can lead to diarrhea.

  • Eat onions

Eating onion is one of the best ways to beat the summer heat. They contain a chemical called quercetin that soothes the body and protects it from sunstroke.

  • Avoid spicy food

Consuming food with a lot of spices can have negative effects on your body. It can cause inflammation in the stomach leading to stomach problems. You must avoid spices like chili, ginger, pepper, and cinnamon as they can heat up the body.
