Craving for some pizza, chocolate or a yummy cake but worried about your weight? Rejoice as a new study in the US suggests that simply drawing them may be enough to cheer your mood.

The researchers at St Bonaventure University in New York, divided people into four groups and were instructed to draw pictures of food put in front of them.

Using a research method to assess mood changes, the students who were drawing on an empty stomach – rated their hunger, mood and levels of interest and excitement before and after the five minute drawing exercise.

None of the groups felt hungry and there were huge differences in their mood swing. So now you don’t need to indulge in high calorie food to uplift your mood just sketching them would do. Next time when feeling low don’t call a pizza outlet rather go to the market , get some sketch pens & drawing book and start sketching your favourite food.
