Ways to lighten dark inner thighs

Anyone can experience dark inner thighs regardless of the skin tone. Usually, obese people have dark inner thighs, but some other reasons include excessive sweating, poor hygiene, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It occurs when the skin on the inner thigh produces an abundance of melanin, a pigment that gives skin its color. This is called hyperpigmentation. Today we will tell you a few ways to get rid of dark inner thighs:

  • Coconut oil

The moisturizing and soothing property of coconut oil has protective effects on the skin. Apply coconut oil to the affected area and leave it until it dries. Do this twice daily and see the results. You can mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice in coconut oil and apply on the inner thighs.

  • Potato

Rubbing potato on your skin is the best remedy for dark spots. Catecholase, an enzyme in potatoes helps in skin lightening. Slice a potato and rub it on your skin for about 15 minutes and rinse with water.

  • Orange peel

Orange peel consists of mild exfoliating and bleaching properties that help in lightening the dark skin on inner thighs. Make a powder of dried orange peel, add 2 tablespoons rose water in it. Add some honey to it now apply the mixture on the affected area. Remove it with water after 15 minutes. Repeat this 3 times in a week for best results.

  • Baking soda

The pH and mild exfoliating properties of baking soda help in lightening the dark inner thighs. Fill your bath with water and add baking soda to it, soak in the bath for 10-15 minutes. Apply moisturizer after it.

  • Lemon juice

Squeeze out the juice from the lemon and apply it with a cotton pad on the affected area. Leave it for 20-30 minutes and rinse with water. Lemon juice is a rich source of vitamin C, a natural skin lightening agent.
