‘The kiss of life: How a superhero and my son defeated cancer’, this is the title of Emraan Hashmi’s book on his superhero six year old son Ayaan. The Murder actor reveled in an interview that his son is his strength and teacher. He calmly fought with and defeated the deadly disease cancer. Hashmi with Bilal Siddiqui penned down this emotional, tragic, brave and happy ended personal journey with about 50 pictures. “Ayan was more interested in pictures”, said Emraan. He added that these pictures bring back memories of tough times.
He also disclosed that he and wife Parveen read a story a night to Ayaan to keep him away from iPads and other gadgets. When asked on reason behind writing such book the actor said that this is to give insights to those who are battling this disease, plus when Ayaan will get a little older he shall come to know what and how he fought which will give him a sense of achievement. Interestingly the foreword is written by Bollywood bigwig Akshay Kumar. Celebs also congratulated Emraan for disclosing his heart touching journey via tweets:
