Kalki an upstart, innovative, and dynamic brand which offers the best of contemporary, ethnic Indian kalki couture fashion and fusion-wear styles showcased its third edition at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2018 and the unique theme had us excited.
The incredible show made quite a mark with the audience as the collection had a hint of intriguing shades from rustic blues, luscious lavenders to the infusion of dusty mints. The use of the sorbet hues and the feminine silhouettes made this collection classy yet innovative.
Inspired by the rich heritage of India along with modern edgy elements of Greek-Morocco the designer collection Athena was Moroccan themed wedding collection. The designer also took inspiration from the beautiful interiors in Moroccan palaces and used them as ‘shimmery shishas’, beaten silver and gold threads, floral tinted rose gold embellishments beautified onto the exquisite bridal lehengas with stunning shades of pink through the entire collection.
Disha Patani walked the ramp as the show stopper. Disha Patani X Kalki Fashion was a signature somber melon pink lehenga with layered embroideries in vintage English colors. It was beautifully embellished with gold metal threads, and resham making it our dream dress, literally! The intricately embroidered Indian wear had us wishing for more occasions to don the creations. If you are getting hitched this can be your bridal dream lehenga.
The show also witnessed other charming and beautiful ladies of the telly town like Diya aur baati fame Deepika Singh, Ihana Dhillon, Debina Bonerjee , Gia Manek and few others dressed up in gorgeous in KALKI’s attire from the spectacular greek-moroccan collection- Athena. Pooja Gor from Pratigya and Dil Se Dil Tak fame Jasmin Bhasin opted to make a presence in a saree acing the ethnic style with drapes.
