The number one rule for a happy marriage; show some, hide some! Yes, trust and openness play an important part in the foundation of marriage but keeping a few things away from your relationship will do it good. Some secrets can become a barrier towards a healthy, smooth and loving relationship.

Ex-boyfriends:  Telling about an ex-beau can lead suspicion and jealousy. Even if your hubby asks keep the details minimum.  Never reveal details related to his job, how you met or level of intimacy you shared. Secondly don’t get carried away in his love and disclose your sexual past or one night stands. Always forget the past and live in present.

No comparisons: Men have a big ego so never compare your husband with anyone like friends, cousins or anyone else. He will surely not like it and chances are that you might end up not talking to each other for days. Avoid comparing him, like My friend is so much hotter than you, etc.

His sexual ability: Sex is not rocket science but still everyone cannot be good at it. Never criticize his manhood in any way because satisfying a woman is a matter of pride for a man. Avoid comparing his technique, size, or endurance level. Yes, you can tell him softly to try something new but never be rude about it.

Latest crush:  Unless you’ve hots for a celebrity always keep your crushes a secret.  Things like infatuation and crushes can spoil your relationship by giving rise to jealousy, doubt and sense of insecurity and breach of trust.

The ‘M’ word: Your mother in law or monster in law is your problem. Boys are very attached to their mothers and expect the same from you. Remember Bipasha statement that most Indian men are looking for their mothers, this is sadly true. Never crib about your mother-in-law without any major reason.

Best friend’s affairs: Never tell your best friends secrets like past affairs, abortion and or extra–marital affair because as they say birds of same feather flock together. Chances are he might think the same for you and lose the respect for you and your friend too.
