The other aim of the program is to make sure that all the ladies knew the signs of breast cancer.  The people who don’t leave the bra and asked to wear purple for the day and ladies are said to undergo mammogram screening, which helps detect breast cancer.  Also, ladies use #nobraday for the campaign.

  • Why is this day celebrated?

It was started in 2011 by Dr. Mitchell Brown, Plastic Surgeon (Toronto, Canada) with the aim BRA (breast reconstruction awareness day) to educate women about their choices of mastectomy. On this day the people affected by breast cancer can hear speeches from leading plastic surgeons and inspirational survivor’s stories as well.

Support this initiative and celebrate this good day, it is very simple you can use the #nobraday or visit a doctor to get a breast exam checkup done. Also, tell your friends about it and encourage them to do the same. It is our body and we need to take care of it.
