TV stars appeal not to kill tigress Avni

TV actors protest to save Avni

Like humans, animals too have their specific habitat and follow a natural cycle of living. No doubt wild animals are dangerous but until and unless we don’t enter their territory, they don’t harm anyone. Recently, a Tigress named Avni from the forest of Ralegaon area of Yavatmal, Maharashtra was considered as a ‘Maneater’ after 13 dead bodies were found in her area. Although out of 13 only 3 bodies DNA was checked but Maharashtra Forest Department and Bombay High Court gave orders to shoot the tigress.

From the day this news has revealed, an online petition called Let Avni Live created a buzz on all over social media. Animal lovers, NGO’s, social activist and many other came forward to appeal the authorities for not killing Avni. The tigress also has 2 cubs who need her and it’s unfair to take away their mother from them.

The surprising part that came to everyone’s attention was that even Tv celebrities posted videos on their personal pages and Instagram to appeal the Maharashtra Forest Department not to kill the Tigress.
