Food Review: Scooter on the Wall

Satya Niketan is now a hub of restaurants and cafe. The place has ample number of places which offer amazing food at reasonable prices. A few days back a food blogger posted some yummylious food pictures of this place and since then I was eager to go there. Finally over the weekend I went to Scooter on the Wall and here is my experience

The interiors
The interiors

Ambiance: The place is very small yet cosy and can accommodate only 20 people at a time, I think it’s the smallest restaurant in Satya Niketan. The interiors are artfully done with books and book covers hanging from the ceiling and swings instead of chair, a low-seating area, few high chairs, colourful cushions and a scooter dummy. There is a brick wall on the right side which has some beautiful neck pieces hanging on them.

Menu: The menu is done very beautifully and is presented to you on a hard cardboard. The headers like licence, ignition , head lights bumpy ride, kick start are kept, keeping in mind the name of the place. In the drinks menu Arnold to Salman Khan to Hulk all have a found place. The portion size is satisfying.

Price: The place is reasonable priced because of its location as it is in university area and is mostly occupied by college students. A meal for two would cost you within 1000 including taxes. PS: They don’t accept cards.

Must try: The place offers a mix of American, Continental, Italian and Lebanese. If you are here don’t miss the Kukkad on Nukkad platter which has a battered chicken wings, chicken nuggets , sausages, garlic bread meat balls, garlic bread and two dips. Their grilled fish is stellar it’s Lemon Grilled Fish which is cooked to perfection. Grilled Lamb Burger, Meat feast pizza, non-veg tacos, Arya burger, which is chicken patty with cheese and topped with sautéed bell peppers, Rosemary Chicken Steak, Burn Rate are delectable. Burn rate is awesome as it has chicken strips tossed in bbq sauce and layered with tortilla chips and cheese. The Extra Mile Burger (lamb burger) , Surf and turf platter is a meat platter , CSS nachos(tortilla chips layered with chicken sauces ,chilli sauce and cheese) are equally finger-licking.

For the vegetarians, The Vegan-Wagon Platter (mash potatoes, paneer shashlik, french fries, potato wedges, onion rings, potato croquettes, garlic bread, spaghetti pasta and dips), Helmet Mushrooms, Falafal On Pita Seat, Four season pizza, Hummus and Pita, Classic Lambretta pasta, Mexican Nachos, The 3 mistakes of my life pizza with french fries on a pizza and Spinach and Mushroom lasagna to name a few are few good bets. The burgers are served with fryums and not french fries a refreshing change.

Drinks: Since it is in university area so they doesn’t serve liquor and trust me you won’t even feel the need as the shakes and cool mocktails are super refreshing and a treat for taste buds. The shakes are served in huge jam jars with whipped cream. The Million Dollar shake, Game Time shake, Kiwi Mojito, Ice Tea, antioxidant blast , Nuttu butty nice, Ten-Dulkar shake and Kiwi Mojito are not be missed. They serve water with mint leaves.
