Celebrities expressed their grief on the death of Manohar Parrikar:
Yesterday was a sad day as we lost one of the greatest politicians, Manohar Parrikar. Chief Minister of Goa. He was suffering from pancreatic cancer since February 2018.
The former Defence Minister had been in and out of the hospital in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, and New York since February last year. Before his death, his office tweeted that he was extremely critical.
Many Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to express the grief over his death. Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Sanjay Dutt, and others described him as a simple and honest person.

He was a four-time Chief Minister of Goa and a former Defence Minister. Parrikar took charge as the Chief Minister on March 14, 2017, and held the office till his end
