Vidya Balan’s Bobby Jasoos  directed by newcomer Samar Shaikh and produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha is out. Check out the review of the film.

Film: Bobby Jasoos

Director: Samar Shaikh

Cast: Vidya Balan, Ali Fazal, Supriya Pathak, Zarina Wahab, Arjan Bajwa , Supriya Pathak, Tanvi Azmi, Rajendra Gupta, Kiran Kumar

Story: As seen from the trailers , the story is about Bilkis Ahmed aka Bobby(Vidya Balan) who opens up her own detective agency ‘Bobby Jasoos Pvt Ltd’ after s trying her luck hard to impress her boss and get a break in detective field.  Luckily she gets a client too who assigns her a job to find a girl named Aamna.  During her case she dons numerous makeovers and amidst all this there is romance too brewing between Bobby and Tassavur (Ali Fazal), a TV journalist.

Music :  The music of the film is very average. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra. The first song Jashnsung by Shereya Ghosal has  a trademark sound of Shantanu Moitra.  The title song is sung by Neeraj Sridhar.

Why to watch Bobby Jasoos: Vidya Balan has again proved her acting skills in the movie. She is the real hero of the film who runs across alleys in canvas shoes, fights with her dad, and has no qualms about it . The numerious makeovers she dons will surely bring a smile on your face. Also watch the film to take a tempting tour of the by lanes of Hyderabad.

Why to miss Bobby Jasoos:  The first half is a total entertainer but the second half is a bit dragged.  Some things happen all of a sudden and you keep wondering how it happened, for example throughout the film Rajendra Gupta (Bobby’s father) does not talk to her because he does not approve of her ‘jasoosi’. But just ten minutes before the end, he changes and melts, reason being unknown.

Special mention: A special mention about Vidya Balan’s different makeovers.

Rating: 3/5
