What is e-RUPI?
It is a digital payment solution that offers a cashless and contactless digital payment option. It is developed by the National Payments Corporation of India with assistance from the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and National Health Authority. This will also serve as a person-specific digital solution.
What are the benefits?

- Service sponsors and beneficiaries are connected digitally.
- There is a leak-proof delivery of welfare services.
- It allows cashless and contactless transactions.
- The users will be able to redeem coupons and vouchers digitally.
- It is basically a QR code or SMS string-based e-voucher that users can take advantage of.
- Payment will take place after the transaction is complete.
- It also allows users to avail themselves of schemes like provided medicines, nutritional assistance under maternal and child welfare schemes, medicines and diagnostics under schemes like Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and other features.
- The digital offers provided can be availed by the private sector.
