Knowing a few tricks to get seat upgrades can get you a upper plush seat and amazing benefits. You don’t need to be a frequent flyer to know how crampy the regular or ‘cattle class’ seats are. Here are foolproof methods to get a seat upgrade. Do try them the next time you are air borne.

Look classy: We know how important dressing down and comfortable clothes are, especially during a long flight. But a better dresses person stands more chances of being upgraded to first class. So look glamorous, add a pair of skinny jeans, over sized glasses and good footwear to look like you mean business.

Early arrival: Although hanging at airports is no fun for many people. But it increases your chances of getting an upgrade. If you check in early, you will in the starting on the economy seats and when economy class is overbooked the passengers at the starting of the list are subsequently shifted to business and first class.

Ask for an upgrade, do not demand one: If you are going to  take a chance and ask for an upgrade never be rude. Be polite and request for an upgrade (can I please get an upgrade?) over rude, demanding (I want an upgrade) works best.

Sit in the front end: When a flight overfills, passengers seated at the front are more likely to get upgraded. On overbooked flights airlines asking for volunteers to take a later flight with a seat upgrade or partial refund.

Site some problems: If economy is full and there is a pestering neigbour tell the air staff about it. Also mention if there is something wrong with your seat. Air line staff is under utmost obligation to give you a better seat and usually they give business seats.
