Anupamaa actor Rituraj Singh dies due to a heart attack at the age of 59: 

Actor Rituraj K Singh, known for portraying Yashpal Dhillon in the acclaimed TV series Anupamaa, tragically passed away on Monday night due to a heart attack at the age of 59. In addition to his television work, he also contributed to numerous films throughout his career. 

Rituraj’s close friend Amit Bhel confirmed his passing, stating to the entertainment portal, “Yes, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for pancreas treatment, returned home, experienced cardiac complications, and passed away.” However, as of now, details regarding Rituraj’s final rites remain unknown.

Rituraj Singh is known for shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kutumb, Abhay 3 and Never Kiss Your Best Friend among others. He was also seen in Rupali Ganguly’s superhit show, Anupamaa. Rituraj also worked in films like Satyamev Jayate 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. In the latter, he played Varun Dhawan’s father. The film also starred Alia Bhatt in the lead.

In a previous interview, Rituraj discussed his television and Bollywood journey. “On the small screen, I have collaborated with all channels, and various makers have given me repeat opportunities. Now, a similar trend is emerging in the realm of OTT and films. Before I wrap up one project, I already have something else lined up,” he shared.

Rituraj Singh’s sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry. Several fans took to their respective X handles to pay tribute to the actor.
