Food review: Boulevard

Boulevard
Boulevard

One Boulevard in Saket was synonymous with live gigs and good food when the place reinvented itself in a new avatar our curiosity piqued. One Boulevard is now been renamed Boulevard and its like a sequel to its predecessor, only much better. While the essence of the place remains the same the food has grown by leaps and bounds.

Meal for two: An average meal for two will cost you a 3000 INR including drinks.

Cuisine: Boulevard has the mix and match of most international cuisines with a desi twist to keep you engaged with the food. So a regular chicken tikka comes with some pita and lovely hummus to make it the perfect finger food as you chat with friends.

My experience: Their drinks are surely the best I have had in a very long time. The orange juice cosmopolitan has fresh orange juice which made the drink taste so much better. The shakes come in super cute glass bottles. The bar menu is extensive and you won’t be disappointed.

The food is delicious. The Chicken Murtabak is a must try. It is a keema stuffed parantha with a layer of omelette on top served with a thick keema curry which is saucy. The BLVD chicken tikka is tender and still retains it char grilled flavours. The Abadazad Grilled Chicken is grilled pieces if chicken topped with a sauce which retains it continental look but works best for an Indian palette. It is served with pita and hummus and is a meal in itself.

The Beliram Samosa is a must try for desi Indian food lovers. It is innovative and yummy. The samosa is stuffed with classic Bel

iram chicken or mutton.

The Margarita pizza is a thin crust variety and taste average. The grilled chicken & bacon Burger is a safe bet.

The hookahs are the talk of the town. Boulevard has always been infamous for its hookahs and people swear by them.

The service is a bit lax but in an environment where relaxing is the aim its okay.

Must haves: the drinks, hookah and Chicken Murtabak, pastas.

Will I go again: Definitely it’s a place you can enjoy and unwind with friends.
