The need and quest for a good burger in Delhi is never-ending. When Johnny Rockets opened its doors in Delhi, I wished to visit them asap, but hubby dearest told me to wait for the hype and waiting to go down before checking out this place. So a few months later we decided to grab lunch from this lively restaurant and I was happy that we waited as the hype has surely died down but the food is amazing. Here’s my review of Johnny Rockets, which is located on the 3rd floor at Citiwalk, Saket.
Ambience: Welcome to an old world café look complete with leather sofas, black and white tiles, a dressed in impeccable white wait staff and super cool décor.
Food: The food at Johnny Rockets speaks for itself. I wanted (ok lusted!) for their cheese fries, which are described as fries covered in melted cheddar cheese and truly the fries are cheese nirvana for any chesses lover, the calories I presume need to forgotten to eat these delectable ones.
The burgers come in two variety of bread, one is their potato bun that I liked immensely, it was airy, and not too heavy. The whole wheat one is average. We had the number 12 which was described as 12 by most guests (on a scale of 1 to 10) and has a signature red sauce, the sauce was too
spicy and runny for my liking. The Houston was a winner and we loved the flavours. The Bacon Cheddar single was perfect and perhaps my favourite. All burgers come with a fresh batch of French fries. Their deluxe shakes are great and it is probably the best Chocolate Oreo shake I have had in a while. We did not have any space left in our tummy for the desserts!
Price: The burgers are priced at a decent 300-500 mark and most of the sizes are humongous!
Meal for Two: A meal for two will set you back by 1500 INR
Service: The service staff is very helpful and friendly, in fact they perform a special dance every half an hour. The service is quick and prompt.
Must try: The cheese fries, bacon fries for a bacon lover. The Houston is probably their best burger and the shakes are amazingly rich, smooth and velvety. PS they send the mixer jar with the extra shake for you to refill your glass!
Also the pepsi is unlimited so get ready for some binge drinking!
