Boney slams legal notice on ‘Sridevi Bungalow’

Priya Prakash Varrier’s film Sridevi Bungalow in legal trouble:

An year after becoming an internet sensation for her infamous wink, Priya Prakash Varrier is back in the headlines. The actress is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the movie Sridevi Bungalow, directed by Prasanth Mambully. The film has already landed in a controversy as it is said to be a mockery of the late actress Sridevi’s life. Sridevi passed away suddenly last year leaving the nation in a state of shock.

In the film, Priya plays the role of a lonely actress. The teaser became the talk of the town as it shows an actress’s death in a bathtub which is quite similar to Sridevi’s death that happened last year in Dubai. The legendary actress died of accidental drowning in a bathtub and the topic was much heated and debated in the country.

Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor has sent a legal notice to the team of the film. The director of the film confirmed this on a social media site and said, “We received a legal notice from Mr. Boney Kapoor last week. And we will face it. My film is a suspense thriller. I told him (Boney Kapoor) that Sridevi is a common name. My film’s character also happens to be an actress. We will face it (the legal case).”

Priya has declined to accept or deny whether the film is based on the actress or not. When it was asked to her father he said that the director and producer should answer this.

Priya is also rumored to be part of Karan Johar’s Takht and was seen clicking photos with Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal.
