Raj Kundra admits to betting in T20

This is surely a filmi twist to the T20 league spot-fixing scandal. Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar has said that Raj Kundra, husband of Shilpa Shetty and the partner of IPL team Rajasthan Royals, has confessed to placing bets on his team.

In fact, Raj Kundra who is a British national lost a lot of money in betting this season. The police chief said the police will investigate into the scandal.

New Delhi police have told Raj Kundra not to leave India, and submit his passport to the police. They are trying to establish a link between corrupt players and the organised betting racket. Apparently, Kundra was questioned by for 10 hours for suspected betting during the T20 matches.

Shilpa Shetty slammed the media for defaming her husband on her personal micro blogging account. She also said that Rajasthan Royals owners have not done anything wrong and are helping with the investigation.
