Makeup and hair men hate

Most women dress up to impress that hot blue-eyed John Abhrahim look-alike she has a crush on. When we asked men what were their least favourite looks, we were surprised by the number of things men actually hate! (And we say they do not notice us!) But here are some makeup, styles and hair dos men hate:

The boy cut: “It is called the boy cut because it is for the boys,” says Ansh Mittal. Well boys say cropped hair remind them more about old aunties than Preity Zinta (who has chopped off her tresses).

Dark chocolate brown lips with lip liner: This has most fashionistas cringe! This nineties fashion statement is a major faux pas. “It reminds me of burnt wood,” said Ayush Gupta. “My mother used to put this lipstick and I do not want to look at a girl and remember my mom. Seriously,” says Manav Ghosh.

Bangs or the Sadhna cut: The Sadhna cut can look good on only two people; small girls or Sadhna herself! Stay away from bangs! Opt for a side fringe instead. You can also try soft, wispy bangs but steer clear of those thick fat bangs which end on your eyebrows!

Juda or bun with all that glitter: A tight bun with glitter accents is your usual hairstyle for a wedding? Well men hate those tight up knots, “a tight bun reminds me of a househelp gone mad with glitter,” says Udit Chabbra.

Too much kohl: Raccoon eyes can never look good on any woman except Kareena Kapoor. Admit it and move on!

Light eye shadows: Light eye shadows never suit Indian complexion. Silver, pearl, grey and white can transform the prettiest of the girls into zombies!

Pin tucked sari: A saree has to look soft, sensuous and sexy. A pin-tucked sari looks too old fashioned just like Air India airhostess-ish!
