A/W or Autumn/Winter is different in terms of colours and brightness. The weather is nicer, the sun less bright which gives you a chance to experiment with brighter colours.  So we got ace make-up artist Puja Taluja to decode the makeup trends in the upcoming season.

How to look great this Autumn/Winter

Get red hot: Red is very ‘in vogue’ this season.

Get ready to CTM religiously: While doing make up in cold and dry months its very essential to make sure that your face is well moisturized so before starting make up its imperative to start with a CTM (cleansing, toning and moisturizing) regimen to ensure that the skin is soft and smooth and there is no dryness on the face.

Of primer and base: Use a face primer post CTM. In A/W many a make-up artist use a base with higher coverage to give a flawless look to the skin. A base with a higher coverage is thicker in texture but can be used in winters because of the climate.

HD foundations: HD foundations are great and Armani does a great one. Look for a HD foundation which makes your skin look dewy.

Brighter colours are in: Purple and violet hues, pinks and reds depending on your skin tone pick some bright eye and lip shades.

Eyeing it: Dark smoky eyes look great in winters and can be adorned with any attire. A well defined winged eye liner is also very hot this season.

Hot lips: Bright colours like pinks, violet, plum, reds and coral are in this season.

Of hair and styling: Loose chignons, messy braids, lovely soft curls on open hair, hair with tongs are very hot this season.
