Connaught Place has surely made a comeback with many new food places opening shop. But there are only a few we have loved so far and Unplugged Courtyard is truly love at first sight with its beautiful courtyard, a rooftop cafe. It is ideal to make most of Delhi winters and late evenings in summers.

Ambiance: We went there one sunny winter day and the ambiance is the sort which comforts you. Imagine sitting in a designer courtyard under a huge tree with an occasional February breeze and the warm sun. That is exactly what you get when you reach Unplugged Courtyard. Another salient feature about this place is their need for cleanliness. They have placed a super cool trolley as a mini bin right on the table where you can discard used tissues, bones, straws and have a neat table.

Service: The service is quick. The staff knows their food well which is important for a restaurant to maintain its standard.

Price: Around INR 2000 for a couple

Drinks:The Nutty Jack with its Jack Daniels base and a peanut butter side is a must have for JD lovers. Aam Papad Caprioska is topped with aam papad and ice cold drink is something everyone will love in summers. The presentation of

is simply super, it comes nestled inside a old fashioned lamp.

Food: The food is the king at Unplugged Courtyard. Everyone loved the much talked about Ganna Chicken which has a unique pairing that surprisingly works amazingly well. Stuffed inside chicken kebabs is a small stick of sugarcane and as you chew the flavours combine into a delightful medley. The Dynamite Prawns packed a punch and everyone on our table called them a big hit.
The Aam Aadmi Chicken comes packed in a small steel tiffin covered by a red cloth and the server rings a bell before serving it.The Red Bull Croquettes have a special red bull sauce on top. The grilled chicken Peri Peri Chicken is juicy inside and crispy well cooked outside because it’s made in a Brai which is a South African Grill especially imported for the restaurant.
In the main course I fell in love with the mutton biryani its perfect combination of flavours topped with nuts and fried onion. The Traphalgar Chicken Curry was not over the top heavy and paired with hot breads it’s perfect.

The desserts at Unplugged Courtyard are especially created in front of you they make them with liquid nitrogen. The Molecular lollies are lollipops in kiwi, strawberry and chocolate flavours. I loved the strawberry ones, tangy and sweet!

They also have a special UC cake which is cake and icing all dipped in liquid nitrogen and deconstructed. This is served with chocolate sauce and topped with nuts.

Overall Unplugged Courtyard is a must visit in CP for a family get together, a friends day out or a quick coffee date. Highly recommended.
