The latest offering from Dove is an elixir which has been advertised everywhere. I mean you have to put up in Mars not to notice the adverts for Dove Elixir Hibiscus and Argan Oil. My curiosity was piqued and last week when I went to pick some stuff from a departmental store I came across this oil by Dove. It is available in three varieties- Hair fall rescue, nourished shine and dryness care. I picked up Nourished Shine as it is infused with hibiscus and argon oil found in Morocco and is very good for hair. After using it for almost a week here are my thoughts about the product:
Claims: The product claims to retain moisture in each hair fibre and rejuvenates damaged hair caused by styling and environmental damage. It also lends a luminous and reflective shine shield.
Pros: After using Dove Elixir Hibiscus and Argan Oil my hair become super smooth and silky. The fragrance is a nice subtle floral fragrance. The best part is it works in a jiffy, in just 30 minutes it works like an overnight treatment would. It is light in texture and gets washed easily. It can also be used as a serum after washing your hair to add shine.
Cons: It doesn’t impart a luminous shine to hair as claimed. Be very careful when you apply Dove Elixir Hibiscus and Argan Oil as too much can make your hair greasy. The pretty glass bottle is difficult to carry during travels and prone to breakage.
Packaging: The packaging is beautiful and luxe, it is a transparent bottle with hibiscus petals inside!
