Glitter nail paints always excite me but the usual staples in India are glitter nail paint top coats or some colours with just pinch of glitter. The L’Oreal Paris Cannes Special Nail paints have chunky glitter in solid colours like black, grey, orange. These are a part of the L’Or Sunset collection and has 6 nail paints. I picked mine from New U.
Claims: The ultimate glamour, luxuriously intense rich colour for the nails with a long lasting diamond shine.
Packaging: The glitter nail paint comes in a small square shaped bottle with a golden cap. The bottle is packed in a golden cardboard box with makes it look exclusive! The nail paint application brush is broad and spreads nail paint well.
Price: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis (Cannes 2013) Shade 823 is priced at 235 INR for 5ml.
Pros: I love some serious glitter on my nails. The best part about L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis Shade 823 Riviere Amethyst is its colour. It is a black based nail paint with two sizes of glitter particles. Smaller copper and silver flecks which gives the shade a dense glitter and large hexagonal copper flecks that add another dimension to the nails.
• The colour pay off of Shade 823 Riviere Amethyst is amazing in two coats your nails are glittery black beauties.
• The colour looks amazing, specially for parties, functions or clubbing. Plus black suits all.
· It is easily available at all L’Oreal counters but as it is a limited edition shade not sure how long it will last.
· Dries quickly.
· Lasts for 5 days.
Cons: The brush is wide and the bristles look rough because of the glitter.
• Insure your first coat dries before applying the second one or the nail paint will come off in chunks of glitter.
· Quantity is too less. To make it last long apply a single coat of plain black nail paint under this shade.
· Removing this can be a headache.
· After application your nails will feel rough due to the glitter. The nail paint does not feel even, even if it looks perfect.
Rating: 4.5/5. I loved this nail paint because I love glitter and this is probably the only multi-glitter nail colour available. But it is limited edition and too less in terms of quantity.
