Two women biked from Kanyakumari to Leh!

A long biking expedition: Kanyakumari to Leh in 129 hours:

It is always perceived that only men can go on biking trips but Amrutha Kashinath and Shubra Acharya broke the stereotypes by completing a bike road trip from Kanyakumari to Leh. They took up the challenge and answered all the questions regarding women safety through it.

The duo has marked their travel dairies all over the country in past seven years but this time they stepped up their gears and went for a long biking ride. Their trip was sponsored by Organic food brand Phalada pure and sure.

The girls started their ‘The Long Highway’ expedition on Sep 2017 and covered a distance of 3940 km by bordering 11 states and 2 union territories. However, they came across many challenges like weather condition and sleep problems etc but they still accomplished their ride from Kanyakumari to Leh in 129 hours. Both of them broke the existing record that was 156 hours and marked their names in the Limca Book of World Records.

More than breaking the stereotypes and barriers Amrutha and Shubra’s trip is surely an inspiration for all. After working in the corporate industry for 6 years Amrutha decided to do things that she likes and started traveling. Their story is a great way to empower women to complete the things on their bucket list.
